[问与答] 请问 esxi8.0 对 CPU 是否有要求?

用了 esxi6.7U3 好多年，使用上虽然没多大问题，唯一问题就是新版的 Chome 在 Web 操作上有问题。现在打算升级一下 esxi 版本。
机器是 4 代平台的联想小主机 m4500q ，4 代平台，我上了个 e3-1268L v3 ，网卡是 i217,后来加了张 i211 。
我在 esxi 兼容性平台上查询了一下，发现 e3-1200 系列兼容性只能到 7.0U3 ，那么请问我是否只能升级到 7.0U3 版本？
升级到 8.0 是不是不能用？有必要升级到 8.0 吗？毕竟硬件这些也比较旧了。

还有直接使用 ISO 烧录 U 盘启动方式升级安装没坑吧？
